A day workshop, suitable for beginners, teaching the basic tools and principals of signwriting and hand-lettering.

Beginning with a brief demonstration of the basic strokes required to execute block, script and casual lettering styles, you will then be handed the tools to practice these yourself. Once we’ve gone through the basics, you will then be given the chance to paint your own sign panel, going further into methods of layout, transferring your design, along with more advanced signwriting techniques such as shadow effects and 3-dimensional letters. You will be supplied with your own sign panel to work on and take home at the end of the session.

The workshop runs from 10am - 4pm.

Refreshments will be provided - tea, coffee and snacks.

All materials and tools are supplied. The workshop takes place at my Bournemouth shop and I usually host 4 - 5 people per session. I will email attendees prior to the workshop to discuss requirements for the workshop and to provide further information about the day.
